The biancoceleste successful club and the passionate defender Zeno Bertoli will not prolong their professional experience together in the 2022/2023 season.
The experienced player arrived in Liguria last September: There, at the age of 33, he won the Scudetto, the Italian Cup, the Champions League, and the European Super Cup for the first time.
“It was an incredible year from all points of view, concluded with the icing on the cake of the Champions League raised in Belgrade – Bertoli‘s words -. In Recco I found an incredible group, made up of professionals who give their best in every training and all row in the same direction: this was the key to our success, behind the trophies there are many daily sacrifices. Personally, I am very happy with the progress made despite the unexpected injury that affected the second part of the season.
The best moment? The match against Trieste, at home, the return to the water two months after the surgery: I had feared to stop, and it was a great emotion. I thank the president, Maurizio Felugo, because a year ago he gave me the opportunity to fulfill the dream of playing in the most successful team in the world and the coaching staff who, with enormous professionalism, allowed us to achieve all the goals.”
