Ο Έλληνας πρωταθλητής κολύμπησε στον τελικό του αγωνίσματος με αντίπαλο τον Βραζιλιάνο Μπρούνο Φράτους και τερμάτισε σε 21.54, επίδοση που τον φέρνει στην τέταρτη θέση της φετινής κατάταξης στον κόσμο.
