Οι διοργανωτές του Beach Waterpolo Tour και της Beach Waterpolo World League μετά λύπης σας ανακοινώνουν ότι το μεγάλο τουρνουά του Akanthus που διεξάγεται διαδοχικά τα τελευταία δέκα έτη, φέτος δεν θα πραγματοποιηθεί λόγω της κατάστασης με τον COVID-19.
Κατεβλήθη κάθε προσπάθεια το προηγούμενο διάστημα ώστε και φέτος να διεξαχθεί το Beach Waterpolo στην Αθήνα και ενώ ήμασταν κοντά στην υλοποίησή του, η νέα αύξηση των κρουσμάτων με COVID-19 θέτει σε κίνδυνο τους συμμετέχοντες, τους συνοδούς, τους θεατές αλλά και τα μέλη της οργανωτικής επιτροπής. Είναι ένα ρίσκο που σε καμία περίπτωση δεν επιθυμούμε να πάρουμε.
Το 2020 είναι η 11η χρονιά του καθιερωμένου Beach Waterpolo Tour και έως τώρα έχει διεξαχθεί ένα δυνατό τουρνουά στη Χιλή τον Φεβρουάριο, ένα day event στη Λίμνη Πλαστήρα και ακόμη ένα ημερήσιο event στον Πειραιά.
Μείνετε συντονισμένοι, καθώς προετοιμαζόμαστε ήδη για τη νέα χρονιά με πολλές εκπλήξεις και ακόμη περισσότερο Beach Waterpolo!

The organizers of the Beach Waterpolo Tour and the Beach Waterpolo World League are sad to announce that the annual Akanthus tournament that has been taking place for the last ten years, will not be taking place this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Every effort has been made during the previous months in order for the Beach Waterpolo Tournament to be held in Athens this year, and while we thought its implementation to be close, the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in our country would endanger the health of participants, attendants, spectators, and organizers, should the event take place. And this is a risk we are not willing to take.
2020 is the 11th year of the established Beach Waterpolo Tour and so far a strong tournament has been held in Chile in February, a day event at Lake Plastira and another day event in Piraeus.
Stay tuned, as we are already preparing for the new year with many surprises and even more Beach Waterpolo!
